about

This is set one from a free improvised show with Kyle Quass at Jazz Fables, which is Bloomington, Indiana's 30-year running jazz series hosted by trumpeter David Miller.

Occurring weekly at Bear's Place, right across the street from the IU Jacobs School of Music, the series presents local, national, and international artists in concert, with genres spanning the entire spectrum of jazz and improvised music.

Kyle had attended SIM (the School for Improvised Music) in Brooklyn, NY in August 2017, and I attended the following year in August 2018. We have subsequently performed in Bloomington as "Beneath the Paving Stones".

The music was completely improvised in one continuous flow with virtually no prior discussion. It is separated here only to comply with Bandcamp's track length restrictions.
